My April/May/June club ladies received one of these each with their ‘stash’!

I wanted to make something special. I used bella rose designer paper, and coordinating in colours. Once you get the hang of them, they’re quite easy to make.

Ebay and others May 09 047Some of you might know, we’ve been building our new house over the past 6 months.

DH scored a study.. I scored a huge cupboard in our front lounge room a la craft room. This is a pic before the painting was finished. It’s a metre deep, so I can work from either side, then close the doors on the mess when I’m done!

This is a pic of the front of the house, still not complete, verandahs are being finished. About 4-5 weeks to go!!!!

Invitations using Stampin! Up! products only!!

May 9, 2009

Bettys 80th invites 007 croppedBettys 80th invites 001I was thinking I hadn’t done much stamping over the last few weeks, but just realised I did make some invitations for my girlfriend’s mum’s 80th party. How easy is it to combine Stampin’ Up! into invitations!! The only pre-requisite was that it needed to be DL size, layered, elegant and using a light ‘wedgewood’ blue. I used vellum, bashful blue paper and ink, and ‘Echoes of Kindness’ hostess stamp set. I printed from my computer onto the vellum, and then used 1/2 inch punch to make the corners. I punched the small holes for the ribbon to thread through, and added white grosgrain 1/4 inch ribbon. She also asked me to put together a little card with gift voucher details (for flight centre), which I did, and stamped with the same set/colour. I’m going to do the same thing for the envelopes. Hope you like them! Hope she will too!!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

May 9, 2009

I know.. I haven’t added any pics of projects for a few days, so I hope this makes up for it. Between trying to sell our house, and Grandma having a mini stroke this week, it’s been a little flat out!

April & May 099April & May 096

Here’s two cards I made last night for mum and mum in law for mother’s day, both have been embossed with white embossing powder (versamark first), using the ‘Fifth Avenue’ stamp set which just arrived in my order this week! Colours are riding hood red (in colour), whisper white, very vanilla, sahara sand and the gorgeous different ribbons in riding hood red (yes there is a striped grosgrain as well as a taffeta with very vanilla edges!). Hope you like it. I have ‘blinged’ one using two way glue pen and dazzlin diamonds.

Wishing you all a fabulous Mother’s Day tomorrow. Hope you get to relax and have some time out for yourselves!

April & May 004

FIL (poppy) also had a birthday in the last 2 weeks,

so here’s his card, once again using ‘Loads of Love’ ute! Colours are night of navy, real red, and watercolouring using crayons and aqua brush.

Happy 95th birthday Great Grandma!

April 19, 2009

18-19-april-09-023

Yep, my grandma (the kids’ great grandma) turned 95 yesterday.

Here’s a card inspired by Angela who has recently made a card with an ‘embossed’ brooche. I have made a similar brooche, but used crystal effects. I also used the gold cardstock under the oval, as well as gold ink around the sides of the brooche. Greetings eight is where I got the small ‘grass/leaves’ picture from. I’ve used choc chip, close to cocoa, pink pirouette, vellum and our eyelet border punch.

Happy birthday grandma! x

On board – so tweet!

April 19, 2009

How kewl are these ‘so tweet’ on board pieces from Stampin’ Up!? I brought them a few weeks ago, and they’ve been sitting here. I didn’t particularly want to cover them in DSP (yet!), so decided to push them into my ink pads to ink them up (slight sponging as well). Hope you like the effect. The owl/bird/branch almost seems ‘velvet’ in texture (but it’s not!!)

The owl cards is close to cocoa, tangerine tango, summer sun, kiwi kiss, very vanilla. Stamp sets are the new birthday stamp set (I’ll update what this is later), and the ‘grass’ from Inspired by nature. I have also used wide choc chip double stitched ribbon.

18-19-april-09-00918-19-april-09-003The other birdie one is baja breeze, kiwi kiss, pacific point with a riding hood red carousel note. I’ve used chunky blue glitter for the bird’s eye.
