Calling all demonstrators! Want to track your income/expenses?

December 27, 2008

If you are like me, you may have searched for something where you can record all of your SU business income/expenses, ready for the accountant, and to keep an eye on how your business is going.

Well, after many months of tweaking, I can officially offer an “Income/expense Tracker” for Demonstrators in Australia. (It may also work with other countries, depending on taxes etc). It is designed for those Demonstrators in Australia who don’t have to lodge “BAS” statements, and have less than $70,000 turnover (and therefore not registered for GST).

The tracker is an excel spreadsheet, consisting of a separate sheet for each month, and a yearly summary sheet.  It tracks all income (instant income, classes, card sales, volume rebates) and expenses (costs of business running, product purchased for demo use, postage, etc). I have also included extra info about each topic (when you hover over it with the mouse). It is colour coded (green for income, red for expenses). All you need to do is to enter the appropriate info, and hey presto.. everything is calculated for you!sample-tracker-sheet1

The tracker is available for $55 (payable via paypal or internet transfer). Tracker is available in Excel 2007, and is compatible with Excel 97 – 2003. I offer email troubleshooting included in the price. Please email me at andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com if you wish to take me up on this offer.

Here’s a sneak peak:

Secret Santa goodies!

December 26, 2008

Hope you had a fabulous Christmas Day yesterday!  Today is officially a ‘day of rest’ in our household. wiggles-13-dec-08-002We travelled 4 hours, had two huge special lunches/dinners, and one 3 year old who melted down because he was soooooooo over it!!

As a demonstrator, I am really lucky to belong to a number of stamper groups, one is the “Elite” stampers. We have a great forum to discuss things and get ideas, inspiration and support. Quite a few of us participated in a ‘Secret Santa’ exchange of SU products. I opened mine yesterday and this is what I received:   How fabulous!! An envelope template, a jumbo nursery wheel, ribbon, brads, hodgepodge, a beautiful xmas card and lots of other bits. Thank you soooo much Secret Santa!! Now I have to be a detective and try and work out who sent it!! I think I’ll be still guessing this time next year!! wiggles-13-dec-08-005

If you are interested in becoming a demonstrator, contact me via email andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com, or by phone 0400 038833, and I can send you out an information pack. When you join during ‘sale-a-bration’ (Jan/Feb), you receive a FREE stamp set (a value up to $79.95) from the current catalogue, when you buy your kit ($324) which has over $500 of product value!!

Merry Christmas from me to you!

Birthday party name tags!

November 15, 2008

Ok.. I have realised through my blog, that I have a thing for name tags.. and red! If you have a look through, I think there is a theme beginning! I better go buy some more red, given I have one A4 sheet left…  I wouldn’t have thought it was one of my favourites.. oh well! You’ll see a spinner card cased from Alana Gallagher, that gave me the whole elmo punch idea (check out the spinner link on the side of my blog, or the link to Alana’s blog).

nov-15-party-003Our little Nicholas is having his 3rd birthdnov-15-party-007ay party today. He’s been unwell the last 2 days, so we hope he has a good time. I haven’t had time to do party favours.. or a decent cake (I’ve baked 2 in the last 12 hours.. neither have worked very well.. so I’m going with making the most of the last one).. so I decided to make everyone an elmo out of punches, then got carried away, put them on some black card.. then added a name tag, so the kids can wear them (if they want to of course!). There’ll be kids from the age of 12 months to 8 years.. so it could be interesting. Wish me luck!

One of the many benefits of being a Demonstrator!

Yesterday was our yearly ‘Regionals’ for Melbourne.

There are two main events on every Demonstrator’s calendar! One is Convention which is held next year May 1 & 2 at Canberra, and the other is each to attend their state’s regional!

We pay a registration fee (this year it was $95), and get a free stamp set out of the new Summer mini, and a make and take kit to make things during the day. We also gets all sorts of demonstrations, advice and tips from other successful demonstrators and staff from the ‘home office’.  I’m not sure if I am allowed to post pictures of the stuff we made, because it hasn’t been released yet, but I can tell you, we made a 6 x 6″ scrap page, a little card holder with cards inside and matching envelope, a special little bag like this one, and a couple of different cards. Most of the colours were from our ‘in colour’. I really love the blue bayou, soft sky and pure pomegrante. Yesterday we used lots of guava and wild wasabi, with chocolate chip and lots of other stuff!

We were also able to bring a guest (at the same cost). I brought my best friend Tracey, who ended up being our official group photographer! Thanks Tracey!

Kerri’s Fundraiser – 5th October

September 26, 2008

My wonderful upline Kerri Hunter, is holding a Card Buffet here in Ballarat on the 5th of October, from 1pm to 5pm at the Lake Wendouree Football Club Rooms. Her granddaughter Imogen was a recent patient at the BHS Maternity Unit when she was born. I’ve also had first hand experience at the unit, so it’s a very worthwhile cause.

Entry is by gold coin donation  and you can come along and make as many or as few cards as you like for only $2 each, $1 of which will go to the Ballarat Health Services Maternity Unit Fundraiser.
You will have lots of different designs to choose from and all you have to do is bring along yourself, everything else is supplied. There will be raffles and a door prize on the day  and afternoon tea will be supplied also.

Some of Kerri’s team will be helping out so you will see lots of different card styles. There will be free shipping on all orders placed on the day and our remaining commissions will be given as a donation to the hospital as well. Simply Sent Kits will be on sale at 20% off the RRP so grab yourself  a bargain on the day and donate to a very worthy cause.

This will be a NON PROFIT day.

The Football ground is located at the back of the swimming pool in Dowling street and the way to get in is by driving along Norman Street and turning into the Netball centre located on the right hand side and driving into the football ground.

Please RSVP Kerri  if you are coming so that she can have an idea of numbers. We look forward to seeing you on the day and hope that we can raise some major funds for the Hospital Maternity Unit.

And some more….
