I love the way you can ‘paint’ onto stamps using SU markers (the technique is referred to as ‘direct to rubber’)! Look how I’ve managed to get some green, as well as some shading on the flowers. Just a simple ‘huff’ and stamp! Then you can add dazzlin diamonds or crystal effects for a different dimension on the flowers. I love this pink!

One of my favourite colour combinations – pink & chocolate

I’ve made a few of these. I love how you can use the scallop punch, cut up each curve, and turn them into flowers!! I have used a 1/2″ & 3/4″ round punch to creat the centres out of matching dsp, then applied crystal effects, which makes the dsp middle look like shiny buttons!  Plain, simple and quite elegant!

I’m back.. yaay for wireless internet!!

July 14, 2009

This last month has been the longest month ever, without internet!!  I’m so sorry I haven’t been updating my blog.

I bought this stamp set to use for male cards.

This is the first time I used it. I stamped the lighthouse to the left and the sail boat to the right..   Using techniques I have learned from Michelle Dindorf (amazing stamper who creates layers with the brayer, and sponging), I’ve managed to make a ‘picture’ with depth. The cardstock underneath is black and baja breeze, I have used clear embossing (using a versamarker over the top of the images, once coloured). The main pictures have been stamped in night of navy ink. I’ve added some white gel pen, and the rest is sponging. Hope you like it!!  I promise to be back on more regularly, and start up my classes from my home shortly.

I’m still contactable via my email or mobile, and can still place orders if you need any su! stuff.

More cake!

June 5, 2009

June - Andreas phone 073

DS9 is birthday’d out.. or maybe I am !! He has a party at a games place tomorrow with 12 or so of his friends. Here’s the finished cake (in Demons colours of course). Each cake piece has numerous chocies and lollies for the boys to take home. Might have to try and make a 3 tier wedding one.. just for the heck of it! I could imagine white with gold embossing… mmmm

Happy birthday to my little man.. Invitations & cake

June 1, 2009

Here’s a quick invite I put together this morning for his birthday 1 June 09 009party this weekend. I simply printed out the invites onto ‘ballet blue’ A4 cardstock, cut them down, then rolled the ‘skull’ roller stamp over them with versamark. That’s it!!

1 June 09 017

I spent the rest of the day making a ‘cake’ to put treats in for the kids to take home. It’s themed blue and red, because he barracks for the demons. I went with stars – versamarked the ‘stars’ jumbo roller on the area which I knew would fold up to be the ‘top’ of the slice, then punched out stars, layered them, and added some dazzlin diamonds. Hope he likes it!! the only drama is that you have to make 11 pieces for it to sit properly.. and alternating the colours means that there will be two of the same colour together.. oh well.. they probably won’t notice!
